Hygienist, Assistant, and Dental Health Student Information
Malpractice Insurance:
Medical & dental professionals volunteering who do not carry their own malpractice insurance
coverage will be covered under the RIOHF Insurance Policy for the RI MOM event.

Volunteer Options
The following is a list of clinical volunteer areas:
- Hygiene
- Radiology (must have digital experience)
- Local Anesthesia
- Assistant in Restorative and Oral Surgery if you have assisting experience
- Sterilization
Assistants
Volunteer Options

- Restorative
- Oral Surgery
- Radiology (must have digital experience)
- Sterilization
Dental Hygiene or Assisting Students
Volunteer Options
The following is a list of clinical volunteer areas:
- Radiology (must have digital experience)
- Assistants in Restorative and Oral Surgery if you have assisting experience
- Sterilization
Dental Students
Volunteer Options
- Assisting chairside in oral surgery and restorative dentistry
(prior assisting experience preferred)
- Assist in sterilization department
- Assist in infection control and operatory preparation turnover
- Dental Screening (4th year students only)
*OUR GREATEST NEED IS ASSISTANTS. If you have assisting experience we greatly encourage and appreciate your willingness
to volunteer to assist in restorative or oral surgery.
Please feel free to bring any special equipment to make your experiences more enjoyable; i.e., headlights, magnifying eyewear, etc.
